I like to hike in Great Smoky Mountains NP. Did you go to the park? If yes, how long did it take you to get into the park?

We were at Anchor Down about 2 weeks ago - it is really a nice park - beautiful sites/views and wonderful bathrooms.....the fire pits and fireplaces are wonderful. We are going back and taking our family for Thanksgiving....you should enjoy it very much. Happy Trails to you.

Just saw the post by tnteacherguy. If the OP is going to stay at Ripplin Waters Campground in Sevierville, there is no traffic light where the park entrance is on Route 66. One can turn only right when exiting the park. This is the wrong way to return to I 40. Then one must make a "U" turn across a narrow median. One has a choice to do this maneuver without a traffic light. Or go about a mile to the next traffic light and do the "U" turn there.

You're correct. I got RipplinWaters confused with Riverside.

Tough to get out of RW. Easy to get out of Riverside. I'm at Two Rivers.

They all sound the same if I'm not careful.
