Heading to the Adirondacks this weekend!

Son #3 just started Paul Smith College which is north of Lake Placid and Saranac Lake.

It is parent's weekend so hopefully the weather will be decent. But should see the trees start changing and get some brisk temperatures.

His only demand is that we eat his mother's cooking all weekend!

Staying at Charlie's Inn and Campground. Nothing fancy but only a few miles from the campus.

I went to Paul Smith's many moons ago and my youngest son graduated first in his class from Paul Smith's back in the mid 80's. He had to show his dad up! Many changes at the campus since then. I spent the summer Workamping on Rainbow Lake not too far from Paul Smith's. One of the BEST summers and BEST Workamping jobs ever!

My son is now living in Fairbanks Alaska and owns the largest music store in Alaska. He transferred to the University of Alaska to finish his four years but decided to get into music before graduating and has never looked back. However, his experiences at Paul Smith's will never be forgotten.

Weekend was great. Arrived about 5pm on Friday and weather was great. Forecast was 90% chance of rain on Saturday but it held off until 6:45pm so was able to enjoy the day outdoors. Autumn colors were at their peak up there.

Weather cleared on Sunday once we got back to I-87. Traffic was moving other than some brief slow downs in Albany and Bear Mountain.
