You might look at Big Bone Lick State Park. It has favorable ratings, lots of history, and not too far from Hebron, KY

Hebron is near Cincinnati. Here is a thread that I started a while back looking for a place. Granted most of these will be too far for you but some will work. I made reservations at winton woods. We will be there end of June.

place to stay near Cincinnati?

Also, I find the RVParky ap very helpful locating campgrounds. There are others available too if you use a smart device.

Good Travels!

Do not know what type RV you have but if you have a MH, you could join FMCA. They have small campground with free camping, and they allow you to stay several days per year. But may be too far away since they are in Cincinnati.
