We live just north of the Detroit area in Michigan, and only have 8 or 9 days in which to travel over Easter break, 2010. We'd like to go someplace WARM at that time of year. Right now we're thinking of going to Huntington Beach State Park in South Carolina, but we need ideas on a good route from Michigan? We'll be driving a 39' Fleetwood Providence, pulling a Jeep Wrangler. Part of the drive will be done at night.

Any other suggestions that won't take us the whole time to get there and back - and have some interesting stops along the way?? We're open to ANY suggestions from this experienced crew! Any other warm states to visit in April?

Once you get to Conway SC take 544 to 707 Murrells Inlet don't go to business 17. Get on 17 south (4 lane) make left into park. Very Nice Park.
If you stay on 501 from Conway to Myrtle it's bumper to bumper.
Try to get up to Murrells Inlet lots of good places to eat Try the DEAD DOG SALOON.

Thank you! Any suggestions on where to stay in Virginia or North Carolina on our way down? It says Huntington Beach State Park has full hookups - is that true?
