Why would it be 10-20 mph? Weather? Terrain? I've never driven out that way, but we are considering it as a future trip.

A T,

We were there last Sept. and it was crowded then. They say that in July and August the park is mobbed. One Bison and all traffic stops. So you are lucky if you can average that speed. I suspect you can't in the summer, we were always stuck in 'Bison jams'. The first time or two its ok, but after awhile its like stopping to look at cows. I can understand stopping for wolks, elk, moose, etc. is another story, but Bison!!!

Thats no lie, if you can get out early and get to your first stop you can miss most of the traffic but after 11:00 it gets pretty slow, the last time we were there was in the last of June and it was not to bad, the key is to beat the schools letting out, it also gets very loud with all the kids.

i don't have nothing against kids but some parents don't show there kids how to act in public.
