ANyone have any good CG within 60 miles of Indy. We like trees, spacious sites and clean facilities. Have tried old Mill and White River and they are booked. ( need Labor Day) Any suggestions would be helpful.

You might want to try some of the Indiana State Parks. Turkey Run (west), Brown County (southeast), and McCormick's Creek (southwest) would all fall within your mileage range. As of a few minutes before I posted this, Brown County and McCormick's Creek still had sites available for Labor Day. Turkey Run, which I'd recommend because they have canoe trips in and around the park, had ONE site available when I checked. All three of these parks are nice. There are probably a couple more within your mileage range as well but I haven't had personal experience with any of them.

Good luck!

Tom (Who is leaving for 4th of July weekend at another Indiana State Park [Potato Creek] in about an hour)

campingbug,

We are staying through July 4th at Cedar Ridge Camping Resort, just south of Bloomington. There are no trees, but the sites are very spacious, very clean facilities, full hookups, just opened May 2005, rated 4W by Woodalls, will be 5W when new lighted sign is installed. They have a small indoor pool, outdoor water park, playground for kids, volleyball court. They will open another section in the near future that will be in the trees. It might be worth a trip to take a look around.
