Henry Cowell Redwoods state park

Any one been to Henry Cowell Redwoods state park campground in Felton, CA. The site says max vehicle length of 33 feet. Just reserved a site that says the site is 49 feet long. I also viewed pictures of the site on campsitephotos.com and it looks doable for me 36 foot class A. Just wondering if anyone has taken a bigger rig into this park and if it's doable.

Hi Jeff,

Just read your post. While I haven't been to Henry Cowell yet, I have looked at it before and noted that the reason for the shorter recommended length is that like so many other CA parks, the roads through the campground tend to be twisty and narrow.

If you are a good driver, your 34' MH will probably be fine. I have been to several other parks in our state that are similar and have been okay. Although I have also seen marks on numerous trees that show other people have not been as lucky.

Report back what you find, I will be interested to hear your thoughts about the park as a whole.

Tom

P.S. - What year is your Pilot? How does it tow behind your MH? We have a 2005 that I will probably replace with a newer year at some point, though it tends to push our MH around some when driving because of weight.

Pilot is 2004 and it tows fine behind our class A. Didn't like towing behind my 29 foot class C though.
