Hershey PA

I'm thinking about taking the motorhome down to Hershey, PA area this summer and have two questions.
First of all, what is there to do in the Hershey area other than Hershey park? My wife likes shopping
Second of all, I would like recommendations on good campgrounds in the area. I am camping in a 41' class A motorhome. I like nice sites and pools.
Thank you in advanced, we are so excited. This is our first full season in our new to us motorhome.

The town of Hershey has Chocolate World that explains how Hershey makes chocolate. They discontinued plant tours years ago, and this is the alternative. I also hear Hershey Gardens are nice.

Not to try to alter your plans, but if your wife likes shopping, you may want to consider going a little farther east to Lancaster Pennsylvania Dutch area. There are lots of gift shops, craft shops, outlet malls, quilts, antiques, etc. Plenty of good home cookin' restaurants with family-style dinners and buffets, too.

Try a campground called Thousand Trails its 20 minutes from the town of Hershey. Its a membership campground but lately they have been allowing the general public to pay on a dailey basis. Its very clean, good sites and scenic its in Fontana on Rt 322 call them first if interested reservations are suggested. They have tons of info on what to do in the area in the clubhouse.

Hershey PA has a big outlet shopping center. Don't worry, there is PLENTY of shopping there.
HERE is a link to the Hershey outlet website.
You might be interested in a real extravaganza production, check out The Sight and Sound Theater too while you are in the area.
There are outlets in the Lancaster area too they are HERE and HERE.
The Renaissance Faire is just off the PA turnpike near Hershey.

Only one caution for a trip to the Hershey area - they have massive automotive swap meets there as well as other happenings and the area fills to beyond capacity. So, plan accordingly. It's a very nice area

I'm looking at the KOA in Elizabethtown, PA. Has anyone stayed there? What are your thoughts? It just looks centralized to where I want to be. I want to go to the Harley plant in York, I want to go to Hershey Park and of course, I have to take the DW shopping in Harrisburg.
