We've been going to Timberlake CG in Whittier for nearly 30 years, but it's about 40 miles from Cashiers and even farther from Highlands.

What kind of RV do you. US 64 east of Franklin through Highlands and Cashiers to Lake Toxiway can be extremely challenging.

historyljc..
They have the same motorhome as you - but I am not sure which floorplan their Phaeton is...You can always click on their "name"...many newbies will have their coach type show up in their "Public profile" ...but may not know (or want to) put it in their signature...

By the way, Barry & Linda...if you say "Karma Please" then you will get that same special "Tiffin Coach Owners Forum Member" under your name too!

Mama, again Thank You

Barry & Linda, Outdoor Resorts Blue Ridge Mountains (Lake Toxaway, NC) is some kind of beautiful. They are a little pricey (you can pay more in New Orleans), but the view can't be beat. They are restricted to Class A motorhomes.

That's interesting, I wonder if they consider people who RV in trailers a detriment to the success of their park?

Hitchhiker,
When I drove through there in August 06 to scope it out, a Tiffin Zephyr was just about the low end of what was parked there. As I recall, there was one older model gas (looked to be a late 90s model) there. The rest were mostly Prevost conversions, high end Foretravels, Country Coaches, Newmars, Travel Supremes & Monacoes. The price quoted then was $40 a night. That has changed - from their website:
<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-title">quote:</div><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-content"> Lake Toxaway, North Carolina
Daily/Monthly Rates All Lots (All Year): $65.00 (Monthly $1,500.00)
Charges for extra people: See Note 4.
Restrictions Class A Motorhomes only. Minimum RV Length 26'.
Contact toll free 888-466-9350, 828-966-9350 local, email or online form </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
The welcome mat is not out for pull-alongs, Class B or Class C.

At the moment we are at the Outdoor Resorts Gatlinburg. It is mostly 5ers, trailers and park models. Each one is apparently different, but I believe most are restricted to Class A's.

Not any different than the Scotty trailer and Airstream trailer ONLY parks that were started 30 or more years ago and are still in existence.

There is still an Airstream only trailer park not far from my home.

Outdoor Resorts Lake Toxaway, check out the photos in campground reviews. Be careful if coming fron the east its a slow mountain drive but well worth the extra effort. If you are FMCA you can get a discount.
