Hike bike and paddle campground

Google earth: " Riverside RV park, Bushnell, Fl " Zoom in and you may
see yellow dot on shore line. That is small boat and we are parked
within 25 ft of where it was. We are right on the banks of the
Withlacoochee River. This is a one hundred plus mile long Florida state canoe trail with campgrounds along the way. Picture is
view from dining room window. We are in Mother Natures home. In less than ten minutes of getting parked, a
bird tried to land on my hat, a hawk was chasing lunch over our picnic
table, turtles sunning heads in the water, neighbor feeding a big
school of small fish and several large white cranes were looking for
food along the waters edge. Alligators from babies up to twelve feet
long are reported almost daily. Today we put kayak in the water to explore
and maybe get some great pictures. Less than a mile away is a 46 mile
long paved trail (old railroad right of way) thru the wilderness - one
of the best bike and hike trails in Fl. This is not a beautiful campground/resort, LOTS of folks live here year round and stuff
around sites, some in sad shape. If you can get a waterfront site nothing else matters. BUSHNELL - RIVERSIDE RV PARK - Withlacoochee River Canoe Rental FL (352) 793-5179 But at $125 a week for FHU canoe, kayak rentals and livery service, it is on the "come back list."
