You may want to look it up on rvparkreviews.com

We have stayed at several camps in that area, but not this one.

It's been several years since we stayed at Hill Country. We always made it a point to stay in the "new section" as it's more big-rig friendly.

Scottma -

As hubby (RustyJC) above said, it has been several years since we've stayed there, but it is a nice park. There are 3 sections to it - the first is mostly full timers, the second section is long ( and I do mean l-o-n-g) term folks and the last section is for overnighters, weekenders and short term stays. The sites are really nice and big rig friendly, it's quieter up in the 3rd section as well. They have a nice rally hall with activities planned weekly. There is an exercise room and in-door spa for park use. The only drawback is if you want to swim, you have to drive/walk down to the first section where they have a WONDERFUL indoor swimming pool. As for the location, it is a good place to stay and take day trips to San Antonio, New Braunfels, mega shopping at San Marcos, Hill Country rides/tours. Ideal location and easy access to everything around there.

I an tell you that I would suggest going right past this place. I have been here a month and with new owners of the campground it has been a nightmare. The owner looks like it was bought buy father for the son to run. And he has it in his head that he can fill it at anytime so he treats you like nothing.
I have been moved several times and it has always been to a sight with no shade and very loud all times of the night. There is a mix of colorful people here and that is telling me and showing me that it is not peaceful here at anytime.
We are leaving inn a week because it is just not worth the effort to argue anymore are try and relax in a constant coming and going nightmare.
But this is just my opinion... Now other have the same feeling and have already left the camp for the same reason.

We stayed there this past April for two nights, and prior to that we spent Christmas 2012, for a week. It was a very pleasant experience. We stayed in the 3rd section on top of the hill. As Sandy said, it was nice.

Do check the RV Park Reviews for any recent changes.

Happy trails.

Edited: They were Passport America when we stayed there, so half price is the right price.

There are several RV parks in the area. We have also stayed at Rio Raft at the 4th Landing of the Guadalupe River. It is not that much further up the road and is also fairly centrally located for touring. It is real close to the Canyon Lake Dam and Lake. It was also Passport America when we stayed.

I found that RVPARKREVIEWS censors reviews. I recently put in a review of a park, mentioned a few positive items and a few negative items such as standing water at our site after a gentle rain and the rude staff members at the office when we checked in. I received a response from them ( RVPARKREVIEWS) stating they would not publish the review as it might be a one time occurrence. Please keep in mind that I've had many, many reviews published in the past. I can only assume that the park I was commenting on was a funding source and thus the review was rejected.
As a result, I can't rely on the accuracy of ANYTHING from RVPARKREVIEWS. I had them delete my ID so I will no longer contribute.

PanJH - a one time occurrence - which one rain or a check in. Lol. That's just sad because we only get one shot at check in. So if you ya can't report on that what's next. Grass needed mowing - one time occurrence - low water pressure - etc - anything could be rejected seems to me. I also find many reviews are just old and out of date. It's a great idea and should be used - but if ya can't trust what's there....

I have looked around and I do hate to ever say negative things about anyone or any site. But I thought it might save someone a bit of misery if they were headed this way.

Not camp at NB, but sure like Fredericksburg. Stayed at Lady Bird Park on hwy 16 south of town near small airport. A little plane noise but not bad. Park was nice.

Really like he Hill Country and Fred. Be sure and go to RockBox theater.
