Hot Springs, AR In October - Walk-Ups?

Hi Everyone!
We are planning a family trip to the Hot Springs, AR area later this month and we are noticing that most of the state campgrounds are 'Walk-Up' this time of year. Do those campgrounds fill up quickly or what is the best approach to camping there in mid October? Any danger of not being able to find a spot? We are going to have three families going in different RVs and we are a little nervous driving 7 hours without any way to reserve anything.

Anyone have any recommendations on nice secluded state or federal campgrounds with a great view in that area? We have a 38' Seneca and the others are taking 30' TT.

Thanks in advance!!

check out Catherine's Landing RV Resort. We stayed a few days in a waterfront site last month and really enjoyed it.

x2 on Catherines Landing! Easy to get in and out, plenty of site choices and convenient to town or just stay and relax.
