Hot Springs Arkansas
Has anyone camped at Gulpha Gorge campground in Hot Springs, Arkansas recently? If so, do you have the pros & cons of this campground? Is there a creek/stream to camp next to? Thank you for any information!

Ooooh, I love Hot Springs! We haven't stayed at Gulpha Gorge, but we have stayed at Cloud 9 and at Catherine's Landing. Catherine's Landing is on the water and has some very nice spots on the back row. Cloud 9 is a little more remote but nice views and very quiet.
Don't miss the winery and bathhouse row!!

It is very shaded but no lake but there is a creek. However, it is very tight. So if you have a large rig - 40' or more it could be tough, but can be done
If you can squeeze in, you will enjoy it

We camped at Gulpha Gorge in early April. At that time, the trees weren't out but it was a nice enough campground. We had a site by the creek and it was pleasant. We drive a 26' Via without a tow and our mistake was thinking we could drive the 4-5 miles to downtown and park somewhere in a lot and walk around which is what we typically do. Just didn't happen, streets are narrow and any side street we turned down for parking ended up being dead end. We gave up on Hot Springs and came back to the campground and visited with our camping neighbors. Been there but didn't see much haha. Won't be on our list to return.

There is RV parking by the visitor center and everything is within walking distance downtown.
We were there in early May. The downtown area with the bath houses and shops is picturesque and very historic.
If you like barbeque, it is great in this town.
McLards and Stubbys are tops!
Highly recommend:
