Sorry Henry but I feel like I answer each of your posts with a question.

"Reputable center/garage", do you mean mechanic type work, appliance, etc.
I've used Action RV in Conroe, TX with good results. They worked on my electric Power Gear jacks and also did my refer recall.

I don't have personal experience but like Ken said, PPL does service work.

I use RV Masters on Bingle between I-10 and Hwy. 290. Their phone number is 713 461-2300 or toll free 877 831-5528 and their website is http://www.rvmastersinc.com/. I have been very satisfied with the service I have received there for the past 5 or 6 years.

Henry,

You might want to consider RV Masters at 1729 Bingel Rd. Check them out at:

RV Service Review

They have been reviewed 13 times and most folks leave as Happy Campers.

Henry,
There are so many RV Parks in and around Houston.

Go to Bing Maps. Type in the Bing pane "houston, tx" without the quotes. Once Houston appears then type in "rv park" without the quotes. The map will be populated with some RV Parks in the area. Drag the map around and the parks will repopulate the map.

There is a new park called Advanced RV Park at the area of Beltway-8 and Highway 288 (Welcome to Advanced RV Resort) It is relatively new. I stopped in there the other day to look it over as a possible recommendation. It is 10 miles South of Downtown Houston from I-10. (I-10, US59S, South Freeway-288S) You can use the Beltway (toll road) to get to PPL, and I-10 to Katy for CW.

We live 40 miles from Downtown Houston. There are a lot of RV parks in this area. Green Caye, in Dickinson, TX is nice and caters to Winter Texans. There price is $370 a month and includes Electric (last I knew) Dickinson is about 30 miles from Houston.

Dickinson to Katy (where CW is) is approximately 60 miles. Dickinson to PPL is approximately 40 miles.

Dickinson to Galveston (sight seeing) is about 20 miles.

Happy trails.

Wayne M.

Thanks for all the good information.

We are planning to stay in the Houston area only for a few days and arrangements have been made. Then we will move on to the Rio Grande Valley.

Thanks to all and a Happy New year.

Henry.
