Hi all,

Our friends managed to get 2 spots for 3 nights reserved for Garner in August for both our families after 2 years of trying, and we are hoping to get there early and find two spots together for our buds to camp next to us. As much as I am not looking forward to that long azz drive for only 3 nights, we really want to go and make the most of it.

So my hubby and I were planning on heading out the night before and stopping somewhere along the way so we could be within an hour or so of the park at the 9am check in time.

We thought about the walmart parking lot thing, but without a generator I think we would cook to a crisp inside our camper in the texas heat.

Anyone have suggestions?

If you are taking Hwy 90 West out of San Antonio, here are two recommendations. Both are a mile or two off 90:

Hidden View RV Park, Castroville
Quiet Texas RV Park, Hondo

Not sure how late you plan on arriving so you would need to call to see about making arrangements.

If you're going I-10, Kerrville has two very nice parks....Guadalupe RV Park and Buckhorn RV Park.
Have Phunn!!
