Houston - West Lake and/or North Lake

Has anyone been to either of these resorts? We have some business in Houston next month and have reservations at both of these. However, I really can't find out much on either of them. All stays has nothing, neither has trip advisor. Any info appreciated.

You might have better luck finding out about there parks if you use the full name in your search, ie., Northlake RV Resort. Check here Houston (Texas ) - Campground Reviews - RV Park Reviews.

Northlake has very good reviews.

They are both nice, clean and well equipped. Of the two I like Westlake the best. Its bigger more room and a huge lake with fish.

Thank you both! I feel better now. We are doing 2 nights at North lake because we are meeting with customers in the north part of Houston. Then going to Austin for the weekend - then west lake for a night before we head back to Louisiana. Thanks again.

We spent just over a month at West lake and it is a great place ecept for one BIG problem. There is an awful lot of sky which is not very good in the Texas summer. The trees are about 7' tall.

The place is pretty new and the manager are great. The pool and club house are great.

If you have a dog, there is a dog walk area outside the campground along Bear creek. Be careful around the creek as there are snakes. There was a Southern Water snake (non-venomous) hanging around the lake. The residents had named him Larry.

There are a fair number of long-term residents and for some reason, many of them do not think the speed limit applies to them. Just get the license number and report them. They will be dealt with. You also have the usual few dog owners that do feel is it is below their dignity to pick up dog poop.

They will kick tenants out if the rules are not followed.

There are a fair number of kids in the park and the pool does not have an adult only time, so the kids take over the pool.

Overall it is a well run place.

We are at Northlake - very nice. I would recommend. A bit close together, but that really is the only negative (and no shade, and it is hot!)

Thanks for the recommend on both. We go to Houston sometimes. Next year we will try Lake View Resort. Puts us close to Reliant Center for the dog show. Tried this year but they were full already.
We are heading to Kerrville for Labor Day weekend. Going to give Buckhorn Resort a try.
