How bad is it?

We are going to be heading from Skokie, Illinois on I-94 through Chicago next week towards Indiana and then down to I-80 east..... How bad is the usual construction/traffic?

Can't comment on I-94 but I drove I-80 last week from Elkhart IN to Akron OH and it was fine. Now I-74 south from Akron, that was another matter altogether.

I travelled the Tri State from I 65 to Racine Wi and it was kind of a white knuckle experience after Memorial Day. Lots of trucks and construction it was a Friday. We were in a Tioga Montera Class C and all I did was worry about what was in front of me,

I liked the trip so much that we came home via Wisconsin I 43 and I 39 to I 74.
