Hello all,

Member from back a while, just getting back on here.

I recently changed my work locations, and at this time I'm commuting ~ 165 miles per day. I'm kicking around the idea of pulling my camper close to the area I'm working. Ideally, I would like to find some private land owner who may have provisions for a camper. A campground would do, but I prefer some sanctity.

What might be some good ideas for finding such a location? Basically, I would like to find a location around the West Point, GA area.

I realize this is a long shot, but hey, you never know what may pan out from a good suggestion.

Thanks in advance.

- JyRO

Two weeks ago my wife & I were looking for something we could afford near Boca Raton, FL. She started looking on Craigs list and found a few people who had ads for RV space on thier property. None worked out for us, but you could give it a try. Also we have contacted the local town Chamber Of Commerce for any available lots where we could park. We actually found one in a small town in SC that we were looking to work in.

Many times I have found great places to stay in Mobile home parks. They sometimes have a space that is two small for a Mobile Home or is not usable because of lack of access for a large mobile home.

Use care when answering a ad (or putting in one) asking for a place to park. I did that in NM and ended getting all kinds of emails that said they had a place but when I called, they wanted to sell me a house.

A few years back I also had a commute that I couldn't handle and I parked my motorhome where I was working. I had electric only but there was a place to dump the tanks in the back and a water hose in the front of the property. It worked ok for two years then I got to transfer to a location closer to home.

Good luck!
