How ya doin', Oregon RV'ers?

I'm sitting in So Cal, but had planned on being in Oregon this very day. Weather forecasters are suggesting you guys are getting hammered. Anything you care to share?

I'm south west of Grants Pass about 4 miles north of the OR/CA border and we have had about 2 1/2 inches of rain in the last two days. Lots of water but no serious flooding that I have heard about BUT winds have taken down trees and I believe the news this morning said 10,000 customers were without electricity along the I-5 corridor from Grants Pass to the border. Local news saw the rain and wind is worse in northern CA. Several schools were closed today because of the wind, rain and electrical problems.

This would not be a good week to be on the road in Cal. I hate the wind.

We are on the central Oregon coast. 79 mph wind here today with heavy rain, sunbreaks, sideways rain..30' swells on the ocean up to shore. Swells in Deport Bay were amazing with spray break over 50' into the air. The mighty Pacific was roaring today. We have had much worse over the years but this was a pretty good one for this time of year. At least it was fairly warm. Oh, no major flooding or other damage as the media alarmists predicted.

If I was going to travel and vacation in the seasons of less than great weather, I would do it in a heavy MH. The TT behind my truck is really no fun in wind and bad weather, though some people do it. The set-up on a MH is much easier than the one on mt TT.
