Huntington Beach State Park

We are headed to Huntington Beach State Park next week. Is there free Wifi available in the campground? I stayed at Myrtle Beach state Park last year and they had a great discount for the fishing pier for campers. Does anyone know if Huntington Beach Park offer the same deal for the Myrtle Beach park? I know that staying in one gives you free admission to the other state park but I wasn't sure about the fishing deal. Thanks for any help regarding these questions.

Thanks. Yes the park is in SC. I missed the info on WIFI when I originally looked at the website you referenced. Thanks for the heads up.

Do any other forum readers have any personal experience at this park with their own aircards? I can borrow a Verizon aircard for my trip.

When we were at Myrtle Beach SP we went to take a look at Huntington Beach in the toad. Asked the ranger before going who told us no problem if you have a current tag at one, the other will let you in and they waved us right through. Nice CG BTW. If we are down that way we would definitely stay there. Some sites have full hook ups (sewer) but not all.

Internet wise we tether our smart phones to our notebooks so it is not a problem.

Thanks. I picked up on a cancellation for 2 weeks there. It is a site with sewer on the row closest to the beach. We only live 3 hours from there so this isn't a long haul. This was my lucky month - I got that one and I just got a waterfront site at Bahia Honda State Park near Key West for next April. I have been trying for 2 years on that one but only wanted spring since I want to try to add a stop for baseball spring training in March. I did not realize how hard it is to get Bahia Honda but once I started trying I made it a mission to keep trying until I got one. My wife says I am stubborn but I like to refer to it as being incessantly persistent.

We stay at Bahia Honda every year and spend our winters in the Keys. Will be there next November for two weeks. Persistent is the only way to get in that park, on the water anyway. If you haven't already try Long Key (no sewer or 50A) and Curry Hammock. We stay in a private CG for three months + in Marathon then jump around the state parks.

We liked Huntington Beach State Park as well. A piece of advice; bring some ant dust and spread it around the tires, sewer and water and electric lines, basically anything that touches the ground. We had quite the infestation when we were there, years ago in a travel trailer. They were relentless.
