Hwy 160 in Arizona

At the end of May we will be traveling from our home in Colorado to the Grand Canyon along Hwy 160 ftom Cortez through Kayenta and onto the Grand Canyon. Does anyone know of any safe, convient rest areas along the way where we can pull over for the night?

It's pretty desolate on the reservation, no official rest areas that I know of. If I was crossing that area, I would probably stay in Cortez for a night, and then make the Canyon the next day.

No rest areas that I know of but we have stayed overnight in Kayenta. Asked a LEO and he directed us to a spot the truckers use.
22 miles south of Kayenta at Black Mesa Hwy 564 will take you to two camping areas, Canyon View and Sunset View, about 9 miles north of 160.

Thanks, we will probably stay at the casino in Towac, don't gamble but might take advantage of some reasonable food and then motor on over to the Grand Canyon.

Not only am I longer than 28' but will also have my toad.
Appreiate the help
