Hwy 20 East from Okanogan to Winthrop, WA

We are planning on going to Winthrop, Wa from our home in Kelowna, BC. I am wondering if anyone has taken a DP up and over Hwy 20 from Okanogan to Winthrop, Wa or if I am better off continuing south on Hwy 97 to Pateros and then travel up the Methow Valley on Hwy 153. I've been over Hwy 20 many times on a motorcycle and sports car and that was great, but might not be so great in the 40' DP.

Your thoughts are appreciated.

Ive drove that road a couple of times to Twisp and have drove lots of other mountain roads. I wouldn't hesitate to drive your Motorhome on it. To me there was nothing really worth worrying about. Just do like all other mountain roads, drive the speed you feel safe at, enjoy the drive and pull over when necessary to allow faster traffic by.

We've driven Hwy 20 all the way across with our 40'. Nothing to be worried about. Have a good trip!

Thanks for your thoughts. I'll slow it down from how we used to travel the road on the motorcycle.

Watch out for the MGs, a bunch coming down to Hood River, from BC. That would be the Victoria Day week end.

Made the trip into Winthrop yesterday. The road is in great condition and no concerns with the MADP. Great weekend so far. Didn't see any MGs, but lots of bikes. Thanks for the feedback.
