I-24 thru Nashville heading north (actually west)

Planning on going thru Nashville next week. Chattanooga to Paducah. I am hearing there is construction some where in the Nashville area and wondering if 24 is affected. No idea what time we will be through but will not be during rush hour AM or PM
Thnx

Complicated as Chinese arithmetic, but I found nothing about I-24. Thanks for the info. I will call Monday AM and talk to someone in person. Just hope they are not speaking Chinese

When we head up to Indiana to visit family from our home in NE Georgia, we take 155 around Nashville. Keeps us off the interstate that goes thru downtown Nashville. Of course, we're heading for I-65, but 155 goes on around to I-24 where you want to go. When you first get on on 155 there are a few stoplights but it clears out & it's a nice bypass. You go by Opryland & several rv parks.
Look at google maps & zoom in so you can consider 155 around. It's X54 off I-24 to go around.
Hope this helps. For us, this is a lot easier.

We also use 155 (Briley Parkway) to get around Nashville. It is really easy and stress free.

They have lots of room for parking at Opry Mills Mall next door to Opryland Bass Pro Shop etc if you need to stretch the legs

Just got back from staying at KOA North, came down from central Illinois. Some construction but didn't slow us up much.

I just today heard on the local news about a FREE APP that has come out for your smart phone. It gives you up to date GPS as well as route road construction. I believe it was called WAZE. look on your apps under GPS/TRAVEL to find it. Hope I'm not too late for your drive, travel safe.

Have been off this site for a while and have been traveling A LOT! did not want to ignore what you guys offered. Here is what we did. Apparently the time of day was OK and it being a Saturday helped. I took a deep breath, stayed on I-24 and breezed right thru Nashville with hardly any traffic at all. We arrived at Duck Creek in Paducah earlier than we planned on and had a nap that afternoon. Thanks for the help.
Illinois highways and traffic are another story.

Be aware when using Waze that the app uses routing algorithms that focus on micro rerouting, to get your around slow downs, construction etc. It will use any and all city streets to get you off your route, around a situation and back on your route again.

The app has no regard for the fact that you're driving a big vehicle and whether those side routes can support that vehicle or not.
