From Heber City take a day trip to Park City, the former winter Olympics venue. It's very interesting and you can ride a bobsled!

This is a great web page that our friends have kept as a log of their many cross country trips. The map is interactive and they spent a lot of time on spelling out details. It will prove helpful to those who have not traveled the country....

Keep in mind that Going to The Sun Road often opens late in the season. In 2011 it was not opened until July 15 because of heavy snow the previous Winter.

If Glacier NP is the goal, what must see's from Fla.

We spend 6-8 weeks traveling in the summer and the last few years have spent at least 5 of those in glacier each year.

Usually we will spend 1-2 weeks in Yellowstone and then go onto glacier. The others stops along the way are a good way to pass time while making drives but there is so much to do in both glacier and Yellowstone that we don't waste a lot of time.

Yellow stone in mid may is perfect as it starts to get warm in June. Glacier can be down right cold thru July.

Pm me if you want some specific details about either place. Lots of good info here for what to do on the way Etc.

We arrived June 20 and had snow several days with more coming this week. Going to sun road has been open since we have been here, but sometimes has been very late in the year opening.
