Last week we stayed at Outdoor Resorts for the first time and were really impressed. We stayed at Pacific Shores in Oregon but are looking to spend a month at their Indio, Ca location this winter.

In meeting several owners while in Oregon, we learned that renting directly from owners helped keep down the cost.

Does anyone know of a way to directly contact owners interested in renting?

FMCA Mag and I have even seen some on Craigslist.

But need to be careful of which one you want to stay at. They are just across the street and the names are similar. Both are nice, but the newer one on South side is called Motorcoach Country Club. They appear to still have the 5 day freebie here
I used it last year and its a bargain!!!

I believe this is the older one on the north side http://www.orindio.com/

We took the advice of BZam and rented directly through the owner for the Months of November and December. It's much cheaper than going through the rental office and we're able to use the owners site improvements (outdoor kitchen) which is not possible when using the rental office.

This is a great place but it's not a "campground" It really is a country club setting and won't appeal to everyone. We got the contact through classifieds in FMCA mag.
