Interstate 10 into the storm

We are near Tallahassee and heading west into the storm-ravaged areas of New Orleans. We slowed our roll and rather than take our usual highway routing, now plan on traveling I-10 and being near Mobile, AL Sunday night. Any reports on the suitability of this route or recommendations about where to hold up a while in order to let things dry out a bit?

There's a state park just east of Mobile. I believe it's Meager State park. Not much else in Mobile. I would suggest going about an hour west of Mobile to the Biloxi Ms area. Lots of nice campgrounds there. Majestic Oaks, Cajun Rv, and Boomtown Casino park.

We left Lake Charles,LA, heading West, on Tues, AM to try and beat the rain. We are now in Del Rio,TX. Arrived here yesterday. The only heavy rain we had was around Houston and not so heavy to make you stop, just slowed down. Most of the LA flooding is North of I-10 so you should be OK. Weather forecasters in San Antonio are saying sunny by tomorrow afternoon. Rain here is just a drizzle off and on.
