I use these same sites. In many areas, especially in the South and Southwest, there are a lot of small RV parks that cater to itinerant workers; you may not find these parks on the sites listed here. But, I often find them on the local Yellow Pages or similar phone directories, and call them directly to check on availability.

I've used RV Park Reviews, and RVparky. Both are pretty good.

RVTripmaker. Costs 39 a year but in our opinion worth it. You can select what campgrounds you want to show on your search. Shows your route. Best feature is you can enter the distance or time you like driving and from each stop it will show you a red circle around based on the parameter you entered. Thee sample map on their website allows you to try it, but the actual version is much more responsive.

Already mentioned above...so we agree the best are:

https://www.allstays.com/
AllStays is on our RV GPS too...very thorough listings and free on-line or as an App.

RV Park Reviews - Trusted Reviews of Campgrounds & RV Parks
A sister site of iRV2 for camper feedback...and has a very thorough listing.

Safe travels

There is a campground with 100 sites less than 20 miles from my house that was unknown to me although they have been in business for a long time. They cater to boaters and river rats mostly, but it appears just fine for anyone. Allstays, RVParky and others have no listing. I learned of it at an RV show where they had a booth for their first time. There are many hidden gems out there waiting to be found.

Allstays now has a web presence that is pretty darn good, and you can subscribe and get even more info.

Allstays.com

I have the android version of the app on the phone and tablet and its very handy.

Going over Google Maps with a fine tooth comb will reveal camp sites that are not listed anywhere or very few places.

Thank you all.
We have now planned a 4 month trip up the east coast accross to the Michigan U/P and back home using Passport America, AllStays, Good Sam, RV Park Reviews, Reserve America and Recreation. Gov. Plus we joined a bunch of RV clubs...groups...and discounted campsite groups.
May seem a bit much and a bit confusing but this will be our first trip. So maybe a little analistic but fun.
Thanks again for the advice.

Yup, Allstays has the most extensive database. Good filtering.
