Srzak,

Thanks for the current info.
We are going there on the 9/25 with 14 rigs and money to blow on gaming. We love the buffets and clubhouse.

But because of the economy the buses run once an hour instead of every 20 minutes to the casino during the weekend. And the pool was empty. Some parent did not watch their child in the pool and they had to drain, clean and refill. Other than that this place has to be the cleanest RV park around.

Tired the lunch buffet and either we got there to late it was 2 pm. And was not that good. Lot of stuff tasted like it had been there for awhile. Heard the morning one is good.

We were just there last week and everything was running as everyone said. Super nice staff. Shuttle was every 20 min. Kids had a good time (wifi helped). Free coffee, ice tea, and popcorn all day. We took a side trip to the Black Chasm Mines. Great time! Thank you all for the info.

They said that people were layed off so That's why the shuttle during the week is every hour. The pool was not their fault it was bad timing the temp was in the 90's . The staff is so nice and helpful we will be back. Any one been to the coast near bodega bay last time there we had a class c now we have larger unit 36 ft. Not sure if Wright beach or bodega dunes will allow that size.

Wrights Beach.. maybe.. Bodega Dunes?? Low cypress trees and short(er) sites. I like Westside Park myself.. nice sites and a great place do dig clams. Great view of the harbor. Doran Beach can take many larger RV's.

I'm partial to Westside as it is across the street from the house I used to live in when I was working at the Bodega Marine Lab. BTW, that is/was open to visitors in Friday afternoons. I haven't been there for a while, so I 'm just assuming it is. Used to be a good tour. I left there in '78 to work for HP.. but, still had one or two guys that worked for me still there.

Srzak, let me know how it goes if you make it to bodega. We tried to setup a last minute trip and fishing charter but all camp sites were full and the port bodega rv site only had one site open for sat. I'm looking for a place for a guys fish/camp trip if anyone has any ideas. We use to do an all guys annual fishing trip but with today economy, flying is out.

Some of the CG's in Bodega Bay area have reservations. I usually go during the week and have no problems. I'd try the reservation system and plan ahead. JMHO.

As mentioned, I like Westside Park.. boat launch.. nice rv sites, shower. Don't know if there is an active dump. Last time I went, I had to go over to Doran on the way out of town. But I usually dump at Rotten Robbies on 101 in Santa Rosa before heading home. That gives the black tank a chance to break up the tur#$ and paper.

We were just there two weeks ago and the buses run every 20 and the pool was fantastic. We have been there 3 times this summer alone.

When did you go?

We really enjoy the park. As you check in an attendant dumps all your tanks and provides you with their house chemicals and more available free when you dump at your site. This protects their waste water system.

Anyone know which chemicals they want to put in your tanks?

Some of the old school types are both harsh and back for the environment.

Thanks

The chemicals are non- formaldahyde (sp). As far as I know in talking to the attendant the formulation protects their system and is enviromentally safe.
