Thumbs up Colter bay

We stayed 3 or 4x at COLTER BAY and made the trips from Teton to Yellowstone and surroundings. First time we stayed for a week. Kajak down part of the Snake River..... Was a great vacation. Next year we'll hit it again.

There is also a KOA on Ski Hill Road between the Bar J Chuckwagon dinner show and the Jackson Hole Ski Area. I am not a KOA fan so we have never stayed there.

Over the Teton pass (see post above) in Idaho about 20 miles in the Idaho town of victor a commercial RV park.

BTW about the Bar J-

Bar J Chuckwagon

It is the best value for your money in an area that is over priced. We go there 3-4 times/year, stay at the Gros Venture CG (no hook ups) and see the Bar J.

Disclaimer- I have NO financial intrest in the Bar J. Only that you can't beat them! One summer we saw them 5 times!

No doubt about it, they were big'uns

I think the KOA on Ski Hill road is closed--it was a bummer, anyway. The only one is south of Jackson near Hoback Junction.
I have stayed at Colter Bay RV park with the full hookups--can't beat the location, and maybe a bear or two. It is about 32 miles south to Jackson and a short drive north to south entrance to Yellowstone.

It was a KOA I stayed at in Hoback Junction. Wasn't too bad, but very hard to find the first time. When I finally did, I set the coordinates in my GPS. The sign is very hard to see.

The CG I mentioned in my above post is listed in the G/S CG directory under Grand Teton NP as the Grand Teton Park Rv resort.
