Jacksonville, NC area

Hawkins Creek Campground, 252 Reid Acres Lane, Hubert, NC 28539 910-353-0144

Great "Blue Collar" campground in Hubert, 10 mi from Jacksonville. Nothing fancy, no pool nor shuffleboard, gravel roads n pads, nice patio n picnic table on each site.

Combination trailer court and rv park, clean, quiet, reasonable.

Best owner operator in the business we've met, the reason for the trailer houses still here..... he refused to boot out long term residents when he wanted to convert to rv, so he changed sites as they moved on their own, pretty stable now.

Creek at the lower end with canoe or kayak launch that flows out into the ocean, lots of trees, good cable tv, good internet, personal mailbox, soft water, small laundry room but not a biggie. If you are looking for a GREAT camp with friendly residents and a super owner, head to Hawkins Creek.

We stayed for a monthly rate of $380, included cable, internet, sewer, water, and electric. Weekly $150, unsure of daily.

Thanks for the info. I used to live in Hubert when stationed at Camp Lejeune in the mid-90s. DW and I are heading up the east coast next year after completing our workkamping gig. Nice to know there's a good campground in a familiar area.
