We have and while it was camping, it was not what we expected. It is under the tree canopy and there were bugs that would eat you alive. CG was sorta crowded with small sites. On the other hand, our daughter loved the place. Guess it is all about what you expect and like.
BTW >They advised us to cover the mirrors on the MH as the birds had a tendency to attack their images

It was not our cup of tea, either. We found it crowded and a little tight to maneuver with all the trees. Would not go again.

We stayed there a couple years ago. I booked a site that had no neighbor on the awning side and we had some privacy. The site was B13. We were across from the tent area. In front of us was a storage area, but we weren't facing that.
It can get crowded. We were there in the fall and the campground was full.
It's fun to rent a Red Bug electric car and tour the island, we found that to be fun.

We love it in the fall & winter, but we don't go there (or anywhere in the area) between April and October. :-) Don't like heat and bugs. Campground is a little crowded, but well kept and the folks are friendly. Lots of things to do and the island is beautiful.

Just got back from Jekyll Island. We stayed at Blythe Island Campground and are glad we did. Rode thru the campground on Jekyll Island and found it to be crowded, no privacy at all and just dingy looking. Something about it, just wasn't our cup of tea. Glad we stayed at Blythe!!
