In the past Jellystone park in Waller, TX. has had some pretty dismal reviews. Over the past year and a half new owners have taken over and things have improved immensely. The weekend of May 5th we took our 4 and 6 six year old there and I have to say that it was an action packed weekend for them. There are planned activities that take up most of the weekend and when nothing is planned the water park fills the void quite well. This was one of the best trips we taken with the kids. They offer an outdoor movie everynight as well as hayrides in the morning. The sites are a good mix of sizes and some can be a bit tight, but not uncomfortable by any means. They could also stand some leveling, but again are manageable . There is also a catch and release fishing lake, petting zoo, and various other games.

Perhaps the best thing aboout this place is that for those of us in the Houston area it is a short drive out HWY 290.

We will be returning the weekend of July 14th and would love for those of you with younger children (those of you without also) to make the trip and make some new camping buddies.

See Ya'll on the Road
Allen
