Jellystone RV Parks

Hi all,

I was thinking of taking the grand kids to the Jellystone RV Park in Estes Park, CO. Anyone been to one? Interested in any feedback, not just the one in Estes.

We've stayed there, it's a nice park for young kids. Mini Golf, heated pool, game room, very nice. Plus you're near Rocky Mountain National Park, always a good place to see elk and other big hairy mammals.

You might want to show the grandkids a Yogi Bear cartoon or two, it's been a long time since they were on TV.

Dale:

We stayed at one near Sioux Falls. The park goes out of its way to make everyone (young & old) have a quality camping experience.

We stayed at the Jellystone in Sturbridge, MA this summer. Some of the activities, like mini golf, cost extra. Good WiFi for a fee. They have a decent swimming pool with a poolside bar for the adults, and a snack bar with burgers, etc. RV spaces are unpaved, so probably quite messy in wet weather. We left a day early to avoid the rain. We would stay there again.

We stopped overnight I believe in Missoula last year.
The park was nice, lots to do and wouldn't think twice about doing it again.

After having gone to the one in Robert,La years ago and multiple times with the kids, decided to take the grandgirls to the on here in Burleson, Tx...
I was not ready to do the KOA experience though (Keep On Adding costs!), so got under my skin a bit... I called ahead and they sold me on the weekend pass, which I thought included everything.... but NO !

"Oh, u wanna do this?", $10 please,
"Oh, u wanna do that?", $10 more dollars,
etc...
more money even though we bought their 'weekend pass' for the girls in addition to HIGH site fees!

The one in Burleson, Tx is terrible - even the kids didn't like it the only redeeming quality was the waterpark... (and guess what - that was extra !)

We had reservations for a particular site... it was not available when we got there, we ended up moving times due to small site and couldn't open slide, water didn't work,etc...

but that was just our experience !

Wichita Falls park is nice, and seems to have a lot of stuff for kids to do.

The one in Lawrence, KS is ok, gravel sites, no patios. Well maintained grounds but there are always a lot of kids there. Rent Park Models also.

I didn't know there were still Jellystone RV parks around. We visited a Flintstone's Bedrock City amusement park that had a campground in South Dakota. Nice place. Wouldn't go there now, the kid is grown up.

Must be a senior citizen, the reason to go to such a place is for the kids.
