Jeykll Island Campground, GA

Actually we are here for a week. This is our first time here and it is a nice quiet wooded area. It is also our maiden voyage in our new MH.

Congratulations on the beautiful new rig! Nice dogs too. Were you able to reserve sites? How far is it to any services, camp store etc.? We usually spend March in St Augustine, but are thinking of trying Jeykll Island for the last week, next year. Overall how do you like it? Russ

IF you qualify for membership, Over at the Inn, they have a beach club. At the desk, ask for Amy, tell her I said HI. (My daughter).

Nice island.

We like the campground. You can reserve sites from what I was told. We are near the back of the sites close to where the tent sites are. Not as much traffic back here. It is a bit dusty until we got some rain. We love the tall trees all over. It is sort of like being in the mountains but close to the beach. There are 20 miles of paved bike paths on the island. We have biked down to the only grocery store and other retail shops which is about 3.5 +/- miles away. There are electric cars (GEM) that can be rented at a couple of locations. There is a camp store also. The laundry facilities are clean as are the bath houses.

There are a few restaurants on the island.

We would definitely come back here again.
