JGW Campground in Redding, CA

Want to post this review, can't figure out how to do it. Probably the forum will move it for me. This rv park is spacious and nicely laid out. So many tree and beautiful flowers. However this will be a problem if your satellite dish is on your roof. We are here for one week and have no tv. The campground advertises cable tv but they do not have it. I will now question parks on their services before I make a reservation. Other than that, the park is ok, right off I-5, not too much noise and close to attractions and shops. We have a 40 foot mh and we don't unhook our cargo trailer and the site was long enough for both.

Next time try Durango RV Resort in Red Bluff... Talk about spacious...

Durango may be spacious but very close to Hwy I5 & the noise doesn't abate 24/7. JGW is much quieter, not as new, much more shade available.
Your choice - do you want scenery or staring at a TV?

Spent a week at Durango last fall. Beautiful park, but quickly ran out of things to do in the area. JGW has always looked nice to me, but with relatives in the area, Premier's proximity to them is where we stay. The older section has trees. The newer section will accommodate the largest of rigs and trees aren't big enough yet to interfere with the satellite reception. Nor offer shade. Bit further north of town is Mountain Gate. Very nice park also.

I've stayed at JGW a few times and enjoyed my visit every time. It is on my list of places to return to when traveling north.
