Has anyone been to the remodeled John Pennicamp State park in 2011?

Thanks for the link. Did not know they had opened back up early. The last time we looked online the opening date was April 2011 I think.

We snorkeled there years ago but never had a reservation to stay at the campground so this year DW got online early and reserved two different two week stays for next fall/early winter. I did call to make sure the sites we got were wide enough for the slide outs.

We stayed there in Feb....VERY NICE, all sites have full hookups, nice level sites but some are narrow and may not accommodate slides or awnings. Each site has a picnic table and grill, no fires are allowed on the ground. The roads are repaved. The aquarium has reopened but not fully stocked.

I've got reservations in December, site 34. Check it out for me when you get there.

I called the office to ask about specific sites, but the young lady that answered did not give me a lot of confidence that she understood my needs and concerns. Her only response was that I could rely on the dimensions given on the web site. We all know fitting on a site isn't the same as being able to get to it or into it.
