Well, I get to do ONE night of camping this weekend - only because we are picking up our new 5th wheel from Copley's RV & we want to do a trial run.

This is our first fiver and we will settle for just one night!

My family and I did a 4 person Adventure race there last September. Lots of mud Great park. Seems like a lot of the trees were still bent over by the hurricanes a couple of years ago.

Please let us know how the park is doing now. I went there after the last hurricane and it was really sad to see. With no trees the weeds took over the sites close to the highway. How is it now. That is a great weekend spot.

Mother Nature is slow to rebound, but it's a great park.... I drive past there most every day.

I find a lot of the FL parks "look alike". Most of the ones I have been to have been CCC projects and thus the common feel. JD is definitely different. The sites were OK but not a lot of shelter from your neighbors. The lower section of the park was beautiful. My wife and I thought that we were glad we saw it because it is definitely going to be a different look in 5 and then 10 years.

We go there like twice a year and no trees in the front section - only the river section.

I don't care about the trees on this trip -
less things for the DH to hit on our first
trip out with our new fiver.

The front section appeared to be slam full as I rode by on U.S.1 this weekend....
