Any suggestions for a quick overnight stop around the Joplin, MO area?

Downstream Casino has a new rv park. Basically a parking lot, but good for overnight. There's a KOA on the west side. And, there's a rest stop area on the west side. All easy on/off on I-44

I know this is too late to be of any help... but the next time you are in the area, try the rv park at Coachlight RV just south of Carthage, MO. It is about 10 miles east of Joplin and a beautiful park next to a great RV facility. Carthage is home to the Precious Moments figurines that your wife will enjoy taking a look at. Also, there is a very unique steakhouse on the north side of Carthage called Lucky J Steakhouse... if you hit it right, you can watch the cowboys/cowgirls in the arena while you enjoy a very good steak. Be safe and have a great trip.

We have stayed at Coachlight. Nice campground and reasonably priced. Great for an overnight stop.

Big Red Barn

We stayed at Big Red Barn twice last year,
Nice level sites, Wifi and cable.
They were a PassPort America member at that time.
But I think they dropped their membership this year.
