Plenty of room at the boondocking site at the southern entrance to the park. Lot cheaper and quieter and better view too.

We stayed at Black Rock Canyon a couple years ago with a 37' 5th wheel and dually crew cab tv and loved it, but would not do it again. The google maps images are deceiving as to the openness. The roads are narrow due to Joshua Trees overhanging both sides and quite uneven. There are very few sites you would fit in. Even the pull thrus are tight because with the narrow roads you can't make a very big swing to get in or out. If we were to visit there again I think I'd check out the boondocking areas on BLM land.
