Kentucky is BIG... we like the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington.

We stopped at Mammoth Cave to visit the Caves and stayed in their RV Park , no hook ups but has a dump station. A really nice park located in area with lots of trees/shade. Took a couple cave tours and enjoyed that too !

We live in KY, and find that the best place to spend July or any summer month is somewhere north of KY! I guess if one could find a shaded RV site beside a lake, it might be OK, but darn it gets hot here in the summer! One of the great advantages of having an RV is to get out of "Dodge" when the weather doesn't cooperate.

Good luck with whatever area of KY you end up choosing.
