Just have to say THANK YOU SO MUCH to the wonderful state park staff at the office friday evening the 8th. You folks must have that special kind of patience it takes because the customers were absolutely the rudest, foul mouthed bunch I've ever seen. To scream vulgarities at a park official while your kids are ripping things off the shelves and knocking things over takes a special breed. I wish that those folks had been in my town when I was on duty! They'd be calling for bail money, for sure. I wrote the Texas Parks and Wildlife's main office and suggested they give you guys some sort of recognition for a job VERY WELL DONE! I also want to extend a heartfelt apology from us campers and RV'ers for the pain you did suffer while waiting on those jerks. We are very sorry for their behavior and I'm calling their mommies, and they are all going to get spankings when they get home and hopefully they get GROUNDED too!!
That was absolutely the worst display I've ever seen anywhere in 30 plus years of RVing.

MWturner, I'm not sure who you are adressing you post too, but this is not a Texas States Park site. But by all means, contact the Texas Parks sytem and let them know about the problem. Also support the staff when possible. Texas has a great Park system, but all it takes is one Bozo to mess up a lot of folks.

McKinney Falls is a great park, especially during the week. last time we were there on a weekend, it gets a bit wild and crowded for my taste.

Go to this site and select "feedback" link to send them an email. They need to know. They also need as many specifics as you can provide: who, when, where etc.

Okay, Mr. Txiceman and Moby Bill. Iceman if you read real slow and careful you'll notice that this is not a salespitch for Texas Parks and Wildlife. It was a thank you to just the two people at the office and a hopefull wake up call to Rv'ers/campers to back off alittle. Mr Moby, read sentence number 6. Do you kinda think I might have already done that ????? And can you imagine me asking each and every one of those cussing and screaming people in that office, "excuse me, I'd like to get your name and some other important personal information so that I can write someone and let them know what a complete idiot you are and how you have been treating their park staff". Come on Moby, get real.

No offense meant, it just looks like it should be addressed to the Parks and Wildlife and wanted to make sure you let them know. And no one said it was a sales pitch for the State Parks.

The Texas State Parks are great and all it takes is one jerk to ruin the weekend for a bunch of folks. On numerous occassions we have brought things to the attention of the ranger or to the main office. We have also sent notes to the main office commending a state park.
