Just had to get way for the weekend

This past weekend I took the MH out to a place called the North Fork of the John Day River, Oregon. I did pull a small trailer with an ATV on it. Had no problems, even the small dirt one lane road wasn’t an issue. Had a great time. Will post a few more picts once I download from my camera, these were from my phone.

Just over a long weekend. If I'd been by myself, I would have stayed much longer. It was so peaceful and the sound of the creek (I know, they call it a river here) at night just outside the bedroom was wonderful. No computers, no cell phones, very little traffic. Sheer Heaven.

Living the dream! Way to go, you've made us all jealous. Looks like a little piece of paradise! Glad you were able to enjoy it. That is why we have these rv thingies.

I found this place due to a member of an ATV club I belong to lives just up the road, otherwise, I'd never have had the nerve to travel down that dirt road without knowing I could turn that big sucker around. LOL

You're only a couple of hours away from some beautiful scenic vistas in the Chautauqua Lake, to Salamanca, NY, area just north of Warren. Great area to RV in and around. There's even a steamboat on Chautauqua you can tour on.
The Allegheny National Forest‎ is always beautiful at this time of year or at least it was last time I was through there at the end of summer beginning of autumn.

Chapman Dam State Park near Warren, Pa is one of out favorites. Kinzua Dam area has a few hidden jems as well.
