I am heading on my first "long trip" next week. I will be traveling for ywo weeks hitting places like the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, Mount Rushmore to name a few. I'm pretty excited, We are planing to spend our first night at a US forect service campground in Kaibab National Forest, called Ten-X Campground. Has anyone been there before? Its first come first serve and I was told September will not be a problem. It looks great on the internet, but you never know. Thanks!

Mr. Steve,
We stayed at Ten-X Campground in May of 2007. We were in a 35 foot M/H with a tow vehicle and we had no problem staying in a back-in site. There are also some pull-throughs. Nice location -- four miles south of the South Entrance to the Grand Canyon. There are 70 sites, elevation 6650 feet and in Ponderosa Pine but . . . no services. You should arrive prepared to dry camp. We would stay there again.

Thank you DGF for the info, one last question if you don't mind. Was it difficult to level? Thanks!

No. All the sites were pretty level. It's a quiet campground as people use it just as a stop over to visit the Canyon and leave. Have a safe trip.
