If you're into Presidential Libraries and plan to pass through Abilene, The Eisenhower Museum is definitely worth a stop.

For more ideas, check this map of things to see in Kansas. The 8 Wonders project has highlighted some of the "hot spots" in our native state.

Happy trails!

Pioneer Village in Minden just off of I-80 is an interesting place:

Pioneer Village

There is a CG nearby, but we did not stay in Minden. Probably a lot of train noise as the rail runs right thru town.

You could stay at Milford State Park on Milford Lake. Exit 295 go north on hwy 77 5.8 miles then turn left on old Milford road. Wave as you pass my house then at the end of the road you are at the state park. They have full hook up sites or you can go primitive and be right on the water. While you're here you can visit historic Fort Riley or go to the nature center below the dam or if you pass us by you could go west another 2 hours to Hutchinson and see the underground salt mines and Cosmosphere.
