Its our first time in the fall. We usually.make the trip in May. The temp is nice but s little rainy. Luckily the hurricanes have given us a break.

We usually head down in late October to hit the end of Fantasy Fest and stay the week after.

Chuck & Pam and Bobbie & Nikki:

Won't be down on the Keys till end of Nov. through Dec. 13th attending rally at Sunshine Key. We LOVE the Keys and have visited a number of times. Wish we were there now...it's gettin kinda "nippy" up here in the Black Hills of South Dakota but due to family wedding we can't migrate till mid OCT. !! Leave a few marguaritas (sp) for us late comers..O.K.?

Chickadee, I think there will be plenty left for you! I don't think you are late comers, but more like early arrivals for the winter! I have never been here when the place is so empty. All the RV Parks are nearly deserted. And we have seen a number of the restaurants closed for vacation. But the weather is beautiful with the exception of the occasional thunderstorm. Great pics on your blog!! Thanks. With regard to the many vacant campsites, and restaurants closed, that's surprising but, then again, guess we've never been in the Keys until after late October. Maybe it's the time of year the locals sneek in a little vacation time before the big onslaught of tourists. All we know is we can't wait to return. Thanks again for the pics.
