I took a tour bus trip from Miami to Key West a few Wednesdays ago. Having lived here in southeast Florida for the last 32 years and making numerous trips to the Keys (but none recently)...I thought they looked kinda empty and many boats up on the racks and trailers. Key West was still hopping with the foreigners and snowbirds...busy spending money.

Being new to RVing, I made a 5000 mile trip to Minnesota, Niagara Falls and down the eastern seaboard this past summer and fall. I never saw a campground more than half full. Most were only a third or less.

Maybe the recession never went away...and is apparently getting worse for the other 97 percent.

I am in Marathon and most camp grounds are full. No room at Big Pine either. I would never come here with out reservations this time of year.

We have tried several resorts outside key west. All booked up. So we may go down in early March for spring break.

I see a couple of harbor sites where we are empty. PM me if you are interested and I can ask at the office. We also are in Marathon.

Thanks Mark.

I'll see what the DW has planned.
