Kind of urgent - Campground near Studio City, CA

Our beautiful new daughter in law is dying and we need to move down to the Los Angeles area for the couple of months she may have left to support our son. They live in Studio City, and she is at Cedar Sinai Hospital, but may be sent home with hospice care.

Desperately need info on a safe campground with reliable electricity as we will be travelling with our 17 year old kitty who is dying from renal failure, so we need to make sure the air conditioning in our motor home will stay on. If anyone knows of a good vet in the area, that info would also be much appreciated.

Thank you.

I am not aware of any campgrounds in Studio City, however there is a nice campground in Long Beach, Ca which is probably as close as you will be able to get. The campground is golden shore RV in Long Beach, CA if you do a web search for campgrounds in Long Beach, Ca this will come up. This is a nice facility I think it will meet your needs, good luck,

Campgrounds in the Los Angeles area are few & far between, not sure where Studio City is but there is a campground in Van Nuys, Birmingham, it's decent. There's also one in Northridge, Walnut RV, we've stayed there and it's clean & decent. Those may be the closest you can get, they both are between the 101 & the 118, west of the 405. So sorry about your daughter in law

There are a few RV Parks in the San Fernando Valley area but CG are scarce.

I have stayed at the Birmingham RV Park in Van Nuys, CA which looks to be about 6 miles from Studio City.

Van Nuys, CA 91400

Not your typical resort campground but it served its purpose when I was out there on a business trip. Gated access with a wall so very safe. Backs up to Van Nuys airport. Full hookups and a mix of permanent and transient RV's.

We will pray for your daughter in law and family!

Valencia Travel Village is about 25 minutes drive up the 170 and the 5... so long as you don't pick the absolute worst time of day to go with the rush flow of traffic. Also, so long as there are two of you in the car, you get to use the car pool lane. Even in the worst time of day in the carpool lane, you're looking at 45 minutes. This is a great park that will suit your needs. The monthly rate works out to about $28 per day with all utilities included. All the best to you and yours in this trying time.

By the way... In the LA area, pay attention to travel corridors rather than distance. Getting from one spot to another with some daily regularity often has very little to do with distance and more to do with route.

PS: I can also recommend the Castaic Animal Hospital just up the road. Dr. Connor is the only doctor there, takes his time, knows his stuff.
