KOA in Davie, FL
Is anyone here familiar with the KOA in Davie, FL (SW 142nd Ave)? As is often the case, the pictures on their website don't quite match with the sat photo on Google.
Wondering what kind of place it is, well cared for, etc.
Thanks!

Haven't visited this particular park
I have visited a KOA at Lion Country Safari in Palm Beach County. It is VERY expensive if you are staying for a night or two and quite expensive if you are doing an extended stay. Didn't look at the prices of the Broward county park you are looking at. I would say the Google Earth photos are probably the most recent and will give you a more real time example. There is a place to find out when the photo was taken but I can't remember exactly how to do that this morning.
I have stayed at TY park in Broward and while it's right near a busy rail line after the first two or three nights I didn't hear the trains at all. (Night time silent crossings). RV Hideaway was another park. Less expensive but quite crowded and lots of full time residents in various RV and Park Model units. It's very hard to find also, but near the Casino. Probably the best park I have stayed is John Prince Park in Lake Worth. It has a 180 day maximum stay and that's too short for me. I stop for a day or two on arrival and then at the end of my stay. I am currently at a Small Ranch in Wellington, Fl. Have power and water but have to call the "Porta Potty" folks to pump out the tanks. Going to Broward Monday and if it's not raining cats and dogs I might try to find the KOA. Will be on the motorcycle.

I would not recommend going there. I have been to numerous KOA's in Florida and would recommend any of those.

Check this place out, we go there a couple of times a year or more: http://www.broward.org/Parks/Topeeke...s/Default.aspx
It's near I-95, close to a lot of things to do. The sites are all 30 / 50 amp, has good water and elect. and are very level.

It used to be a nudist campground but KOA took it over last year. It probably still has most of its lush landscaping. It is in a quiet part of Davie and there are few problems in the surrounding area so it should be safe. If you are looking to stay in the area I would look into the county parks. Topeeke is nice in that it has good facilites but it is close to main streets and will have street noise. Markham Park is on the edge of the everglades and it is in a huge park with lots to do. Use the wed site above to investigate both. I like KOA's but they will almost always be more expensive than other CG's

I read through these forums and it seems like they are mostly old posts. Is there a way to have newest first? Am I missing something?

I just looked at the park, on Google Earth. Very nice looking and in a good location. Just East of I-75, and North of Griffin Rd. I would not mind staying there at all.
