Either Dockweiler or Malibu are the best locations for you.

Looks like Malibu will be the place, worth the price just for the view. Thanks all

Changed my mind, I prefer sites/parks with lots of space and green grass since I grew up looking at an ocean. Booked a week at East Shore RV Park. I'll deal with the traffic and trade off for the quiet relaxing country setting.

East Shore RV Park is a nice setting on top of the hill and some sites overlook the lake.

There are two Interstates and one Freeway that will take you into the LA area, I-10 and I-210 plus CA-60. It all depends on what location and where you are headed.

All of those will be jammed in the morning going West-Bound and jammed at night going East-bound.

If you can schedule your trips between 10 & 2 you should be OK but if not prepare yourself to spend hours on the road.

Enjoy!

That's exactly what I have done, scheduled my meetings from 11am -1pm.
