Lake Champlain

Hi everyone. I am planning on visiting Lake Champlain next week. I just booked 4 nights at the Ausable Chasm KOA. I am hoping to do some mountain biking and maybe a tour or two of the chasm. I am also planning on doing some scenic trips on the Harley too.
Anyone have any good suggestion for places to mtn bike? Or feedback on the CG? Any info or suggestions would be much appreciated.

A number of years ago we did a very nice B&B weekend with a company called Vermont Bike Tours...VBT. They laid out some really gorgeous bike routes and since there were many different levels of bikers in the group, we all could choose various levels of difficulty. We were overnighting in a town called Vergennes, VT. You may want to look at the VBT web-site and see if they can help you out.

They sell a t-shirt that reads 'Vermont Ain't Flat" ...and after a weekend on the bike, my muscles defintely agreed with that sentiment.

Have a great trip!!

We will be in the Lake Champlain area middle and late august. We plan stay at Ausable Pines, Apple Island Resort on Hero Lake and then down to southern portion of lake to charter a trawler. We have never visited area but plan to see some new york and then vemont. No help on camp grounds for this will be a exploration for us.
